Working from her studio in Mid Wales, the main theme of her work is the effect of past and future industry on the landscape/environment.

Barbaras contemporary practice vary between her use of Oil Paintings and illustrations on Welsh Slate, which are stiched to the frame creating a intricate composite "patchwork" like designs.

Since graduating in Fine Arts in 2005 from the University of Wales, and working from her studio in Aberystwyth,   she has exhibited extensively between London and Across Wales and has collected a number prizes and awards for her practice.
