Its origins have been noted as being a Polynesian arts form and conjoined over the years with various forms of martial arts.

Since the 1900s in the western world the art of spinning has often been associated with its softer forms of flag dancing, pagan festivals, hedonism and the flower power movement of the 1960 and 70s, along with gymnastics, and baton twirling. Yet many recognize its use in the Samoan fire dance and Hawaiian fire poi together with countless martial arts films where the use of deadly force by staves, and Nunchaku, to blade tipped fans and table cloths being used by black belt heroes to include Bruce Lee, Jacky Chan and Sammo Hung; and in their wake came Jet Li, Cynthia Rothrock to Jason Statham to name a few without mentioning epic acts and the human circus Cirque du Soleil

Spinning is a close and much loved partner to juggling and over recent years a new generation of dance performers have adopted a more aggressive energy combined with the music of hip hop, or the evolved Garage House scene dancing with glow sticks through to its current incarnation of Trance and Dubstep and some adding Parkour and cinema martial arts - notably the Jedi's light sabre fighting through to The Matrix. Many use varied fire equipment or modern technology LED to create highly creative and complex moves and displays to even advertise products at events.

Our concept is born through a passion of the art form. To deliver spinning to the forefront to separate it from it's pretty image of flower power, white gloved bandleaders and the children's magical entertainer cousin and build a following of both manipulators and spinners to compete on stage, seen globally and voted on its visual complexity, style and daring.
