Driven by a love affair of the art of Poi and the flow arts, the project was born out of a desire to place the passion for the art on a stage, to be enjoyed by more than it's outsider following and to showcase global talents.
The concept is born through a passion of the art form. To deliver spinning to the forefront to separate it from it's pretty image of flower power, white gloved bandleaders and the children's magical entertainer cousin and build a following of both manipulators and spinners to compete on stage, seen globally and voted on its visual complexity, style and daring.
Rebellious are a nonconformist arts loving people that fits nowhere, a free spirit that simply is.
We are that everlasting unsettled itch and desire to find a home - resulting in an abstract lifestyle which can only be defined as artistic, we LOVE art, we LOVE spinning fire and light, we LOVE a good event and most definately enjoy finding outlets for a boundless creativity and spirit.
Rebellious is a series of exhibitions and events, both online and in the real world. Our main feature is our annual competition, supported by a contingous delivery of artistic events and exhibitions. Some are free to take part in, some impromptu - grasping opportunities as they happen.
