Future Visionaries
Working with St Marks Academy in Merton, London and art department, Ian Barrington has initiated Future Visionaries, the project is to help establish and nurture artists at the formation of their development, in partnership with the school, and to help young artists envisage an achievable end goal to their new found passions.
Juxtaposed Gallery will also commit to assisting with much needed art materials for the department and its learners.
During his talk with the schools art classes he announced his desire of helping to nurture the promising learners based on concept, ability, and respect of their environment, selected on the same criteria as practicing artists, space to display their works alongside professional international artists.
Ian's Initial visit to the school in 2013, saw the donation of painting materials, a number of specialist art tools and a mixture of smaller art media.
Ian also delivered an artist talk to the Key Stage 4 and sixth form classes where he discussed on his development as Artist and Art Director, with Q&A and a display of some of his works.
